Seattle Eats

2 Aug

I went to Seattle not too long ago as part of my “see as much of the US as I can before I find a full time job” conquest and it led me to Seattle, WA. We did the usual touristy things such as Pike Place Market, Space Needle, and Gas Works Park. There isn’t much to see or do in Seattle and I know one of the main things people do while visiting is take the ferry up to Vancouver. Unfortunately one of our friends didn’t have his passport so Vancouver was out of the question.  It was kind of a bummer since I hear it’s a gorgeous place to visit.

Here is a little recap of my favorite parts of Seattle

Pike Place Market

Gorgeous seafood everywhere at Pike Place Market

Gas Works Park

I allow myself one tacky touristy thing each vacation and chose to do the Ride the Ducks Tour. It was a great way to see a lot of the city without having to visit each place individually.

Seattle eats..

Crab roll and four different types of chowders from Pike Place Chowder

Seafood boil from Crab Pot

Cuban press and midnight cuban roll from Paseo. Best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had

Five different types of pizzas from Serious Pie. We made sure we went during happy hour so we were able to try multiple personal sized pies for a better deal. Normally they range from $16-$20 for each.

We were so thankful it didn’t rain that much when we were up there. Of the four days we were there, it only drizzled one of the days. The other days were pretty gloomy and overcast though.  I deemed it a city I would love to live in, but not great for traveling. There isn’t much to do and the food isn’t that great either.
